Comparative Residents’ Satisfaction Evaluation for Social Sustainable Regeneration: The Case of Two High-Density Communities in Suzhou
摘要
This chapter examines the correlation between quality of life and social sustainability in high-density communities, focusing on residents’ satisfaction. Two representative communities in Suzhou, Nanhuan (high-rise, gated) and Daoqian (multi-story, non-gated), were analyzed through field research and interviews. Findings highlight the importance of property management, spatial design and community facilities in enhancing satisfaction. It suggests that increased opportunities for social interaction and diversified spatial activities are key to achieving socially sustainable regeneration.
