摘要
For college students, reading literacy is an important way to acquire knowledge and cultivate thinking, as well as a key to improving comprehensive quality and future competitiveness. Reading initiative, as a part of reading literacy, not only helps students broaden their horizons and deepen their thinking, but also has an important impact on future planning. Based on the behavioral economics theory, this study explored the influence mechanism of reading initiative on future planning by considering reading initiative as the independent variable, stability personality as the mediator variable, and future planning (including career adaptability and future commitment) as the dependent variable. Through a questionnaire survey of 6,065 Chinese college students and analyzing the data with SPSS, the results showed that reading initiative significantly and positively influenced college students’ career adaptive ability and future commitment, and stability personality played a partial mediating role. This study not only enriches the theories of reading literacy and financial literacy among college students, but also provides educational ideas to enhance college students’ future planning.
