Design, Implementation, and Application of a 3-D Virtual Simulation Visualization Experiment System for Camera Calibration
摘要
Three-dimensional (3-D) virtual simulation experiment systems simulate 3-D visualizations and human-computer interactions. In the Camera Calibration (CC) experiment class, it will often expend a huge amount of budget to equip each group of students with a precision calibration tool which is expensive and easily damaged. For this problem, this paper proposes to design an online 3-D virtual simulation experiment system for the CC experiment by using 3-D virtual reality (VR) visualization technology. According to the specific process of the CC experiment, a 3-D virtual simulation experiment software system for the CC experiment based on unity3D is designed and implemented. This experiment system has been integrated into the virtual simulation experiment teaching management information system of Central China Normal University, so that students can overcome the limitations of traditional experiments in time and space, and log into the online platform at any time to do the CC experiment. In the practical application of experimental teaching, teachers and students have a high degree of acceptance of this virtual experimental system, which proves that the system is a successful application of virtual reality visualization technology to support “VR + Education.”
