In this work, we present phenomenological studies of higher order QCD corrections in a simplified model of gluphilic dark matter. The model contains a scalar dark matter candidate which interacts with standard model particles via a scalar mediator. In particular we consider quarks and gluons as final state SM particles. At leading order, the annihilation of dark matter candidates into the standard model particles is a loop induced process. The obvious constraints on the parameters of the model are from the required relic abundance. We try to improve the feasible parameter space of the model by considering the effects of higher order QCD corrections in the DM-SM interaction at leading as well as at next to leading order.
