Cherenkov Ring Reconstruction Using Test Beam Data from May 2024 for dRICH in the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) Experiment

Understanding the standard model requires a deeper probe into the internal structure of the nucleons and their underlying interactions. Electron-proton and electron-ion collisions at high energies will be used to study these characteristics at the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), which is scheduled to start operation at Brookhaven National Laboratory (USA) in 2030 [1]. Particle identification (PID) between \(\pi \) /K/p is essential with a 3 \(\sigma \) separation up to 50 GeV/c [1]. This study contains analysis of the data from second test beam conducted at CERN in May 2024, uniquely characterizing the aerogel and gas rings, for R&D of dRICH detector and electronics.
