We present an improved evaluation of the two-photon exchange correction to lepton proton scattering using heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory at next-to-leading order using elastic intermediate state and adhering to soft photon approximation. Within soft photon framework, more systematic approach is applied to the loop integrations, eliminating some of the crude approximations from previous work.

摘要
