Dimensions of Vulnerability and Potential Applications of Urban Green Infrastructure
摘要
Africa is one of the most vulnerable continents to climate change. This is due to two main factors: adaptive capacity and geographic characteristics. Africa’s geography is described by Busby et al. (2013: 136–137) to be such that “the physical effects of climate change are likely to be the most severe on the planet”. Within the continent, regional differences in physical and climate vulnerability exist. East Africa is often seen as one of the most climate-vulnerable regions at present, while tropical West Africa is projected to experience the most significant temperature changes (Li et al. 2022a; Serdeczny et al. 2017). However, these are not to be viewed in isolation from other dimensions of vulnerability.
