The World Health Organization identifies noise pollution as the third most hazardous type of pollution, after air and water pollution. This research examines noise levels in sensitive zones within Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), located in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. Noise monitoring was conducted at ten designated locations, which include the OPD registration counter, OPD block, Trauma Centre drug shop, Emergency and Trauma Centre, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Cardiac block, District Early Intervention Centre JNMC, Medical Wards and the Special Ward. The SL-4033SD Lutron sound level meter was used to measure noise levels every hour during the day, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM and 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM during night time. This study also analysed by preparing spatial distribution of noise maps by using ArcGIS software. The findings show that Leq (A) in the designated sensitive areas are higher than the standard specified limit both during day and night according to CPCB and WHO.
