Infectious diseases have been the main cause of fever of unknown origin (FUO) for a long time. In recent years, this kind of disease has declined, especially in the economically developed areas, and its proportion has dropped to about 30%. However, in developing countries, including China, about 40%–50% of FUO is caused by infectious diseases, which is still the most common cause.

摘要

Infectious diseases have been the main cause of fever of unknown origin (FUO) for a long time. In recent years, this kind of disease has declined, especially in the economically developed areas, and its proportion has dropped to about 30%.
