Current Studies of Structure, Phase Composition, and Properties of High-Speed Steels and Their Application
摘要
The analysis of classical and modern concepts of the alloying effect on the structure and properties of high-speed steels at different external influences shows that plasma surfacing in the shielding-doping nitrogen atmosphere is the most efficient and economical way to protect the steel surface that provides the best surface-to-volume ratio of the material. It is shown that this type of steel hardening can be achieved by electron beam processing, which is one of the promising techniques of the surface modification, promoting a significant improvement of mechanical properties of the material.
