Relay-Assisted Techniques of Underwater Wireless Optical Communication: A Review
摘要
Relay-assisted underwater wireless optical communication (UWOC) technology has gradually gained attention in the academic community due to its key potentials of extending the communication distance, expanding the coverage area, improving the system capacity, and non-line-of-sight (NLoS) communication. In this paper, relay-assisted UWOC is analyzed from different perspectives, such as relay-assisted system model, routing strategy, power allocation, physical-layer network coding (PNC) technology, node design technology, and typical relay-assisted UWOC system. Finally, we propose the possible problems and challenges of relay-assisted UWOC, and we discuss future research directions.
