Power plants in China have long been built the traditional way, But in the context of increasing competition in the power industry. The market has put forward higher requirements for the digitization degree of power plant engineering. Therefore, power enterprises must complete the digital transformation as soon as possible. In recent years, the field of power plant engineering has developed rapidly in terms of digital design. However, intelligent transformation is not limited to digital design, but also should focus on the full cycle of digital realization. This paper briefly describes the current development of the power industry, introduces the latest achievements of the digital design of power plant projects, and puts forward the goal of the digital transformation of the whole life cycle of power plant engineering, so as to provide some references for the digital transformation of the power industry.
