This study aims to develop a training program for enhancing clinical nurses’ nursing information competence, crucial in today’s increasingly information technology-intensive healthcare environment. The research team conducted a literature review, status survey, and semi-structured interviews, combining international standards and trends in nursing informatics to draft an initial training program. The program covers three main modules: Computer Technology, Information Literacy, and Information Practices. Different training forms were designed to cater to various training objectives. Through two rounds of expert consultation, the initial program was refined, resulting in a final program with high practicality and academic value. This study provides a reference for improving clinical nurses’ nursing information competence and lays the foundation for further exploration in nursing informatics.
