The COVID-19 pandemic acted as a sharp lens, highlighting long-standing systemic inequalities in digital access, education, social inclusion, economic opportunity, and health. This chapter makes the case that these inequalities are intricately linked and multi-layered, influenced by historical legacies and systemic power inequalities, and that they take the form of tangible, basic, and contextual dimensions. These inequalities are more than just a list of flaws; they are forces for revolutionary change that call for audacious, comprehensive, and intersectional strategies based on compassion, community leadership, and inclusive governance. Important cross-cutting insights highlight that addressing inequality calls for coordinated, context-sensitive tactics as well as persistent political will. The chapter emphasizes the critical role that underrepresented voices play in spearheading solutions and the moral use of de-identified data for accountability.
