Proximal Tibiofibular Joint Instability
摘要
Proximal Tibiofibular Joint (PTFJ) is rarely discussed in knee injury evaluation; hence, injuries involving PTFJ are usually missed or neglected. Isolated PTFJ injuries are rare, mostly reduce spontaneously. Chronic PTFJ instability can present as lateral side knee pain. More and more PTFJ instability is being reported in association with knee ligament injuries, more commonly reported with bike accidents. The evaluation and management of PTFJ instability has improved with further understanding of the anatomy and mechanics of the joint.
