Biomanufacturing of Biobased Material Monomers
摘要
Biobased materials are new materials made from renewable biomass resources such as grains, straws, and legumes. Their monomers include bio-alcohols, organic acids, and olefins. In recent years, with the increasing scarcity of global petroleum resources, bioenergy, biobased chemicals, and biobased materials industries have become hotspots for global development. Biobased materials, due to their green, environmentally friendly, and resource-friendly characteristics, have attracted great interest from the scientific and industrial communities, as well as the financial investment field. The tools for biomanufacturing of biobased materials are microorganisms, cell lines, and enzymes, with the pathways being large-scale cell culture and metabolism, biocatalytic transformation, and separation and purification.
