Creative Catalysts: How Omani Women Drive Innovation in the Digital Sphere
摘要
The Omani women’s liberation movement is firmly established and serves as a pillar for Omani society, countering the government’s agenda to increase women’s impact on the Omani economy. However, despite being subject to the demands of a patriarchal society today, these women are not idle; they are productive. This research aims to understand the demographic background of the women ecopreneurs, their business profiles, contributions, plans, and challenges. Most young Omani women utilize social media for educational purposes and engage in both home and online businesses, despite managing household chores. Nonetheless, they face several challenges, particularly restricted market access and other family responsibilities that limit their online time. In addition, what these women propose is the use of social media, but their expertise in social media marketing and other correlated competencies are often limited.
