This chapter focuses on introducing advanced schemes for multiple access in wireless networks, which have been considered as promising candidates for 5G and beyond wireless networks. In particular, two multiple access schemes are presented, including non-orthogonal multiple access (Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA)NOMA) and sparse code multiple access (Sparse Code Multiple Access (SCMA)introductionSCMA). The background on both methods are presented, together with the proposed simulation algorithms and results for them, which are integrated in the simulation tool developed in this book.
