This chapter summarizes the theoretical background on the design of different Modulationwaveformsmodulation waveforms for 5G wireless networks (Filter Bank Multi-Carrier (FBMC)FBMC, Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier (UFMC)UFMC, f-OFDMA, Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM)GFDM, Weighted Overlap-Add (WOLA)WOLA) to overcome the drawbacks of the traditional OFDM waveform, which is mainly used in 4G networks. The simulation algorithms for those Modulationwaveformsmodulation waveforms and the corresponding results are also presented in this chapter.
