Wideband Four-Port MIMO Antenna for Future-Generation Mobile and Automotive Radars
摘要
In this paper, a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna is implemented with four elements along with a decoupling structure (DS) and partial ground, simulated and presented for future-generation mobile and automotive radar applications. The designed antenna has a compact size of 10 mm*11.5*0.25 mm; due to this compactness in size, the proposed design is suitable for future generations. This antenna exhibits the wideband frequency range of 19.93 GHz to >100 GHz with impedance bandwidth (IBW) of >80.07 GHz and fractional bandwidth (FBW) of 133.52% for |S11| ≤ − 10 dB. The cross lines DS enhances the isolation better than 30 dB between the antenna elements. The proposed antenna provides 10 dB and 90% peak gain and radiation efficiency, respectively. The developed MIMO antenna with DS offers excellent diversity performance because of isolation is high. The MIMO performance metrics are examined and are satisfactory as per IEEE standards.
