Employing a phenomenological approach, the study engaged ten participants through focused group interviews using thematic analysis, revealing the presence of subtle and unchecked derogatory slights in homes, schools, and society. Despite the advancements of the twenty-first century, the findings highlight the persistent nature of gender-based microaggressions, causing emotional consequences for the affected individuals. The study emphasizes the urgent need for heightened awareness among school management and parents regarding the impact of these microaggressions. Furthermore, it advocates not only studying the phenomenon but also the need to implement micro-resistance techniques to protect and empower future generations. Addressing microaggressions at the school level emerges as a crucial step towards eradicating these subtle yet impactful forms of discrimination in broader societal and workplace contexts.
