Evaluating Micro-scale Interior Public Realms and Spaces: A Case Study of CapitaSpring

This chapter highlights the importance of viewing hyper-morphological environments as dynamic and complex systems shaped by spatial qualities, human cognition, and emotional responses. By employing advanced neuroscience methods such as EEG and fMRI in controlled virtual settings, the study develops a systematic evaluation framework for micro-scale interior public spaces. This approach addresses gaps in conventional urban design assessments by analysing responses and reactions to the environment and spatial conditions from a control group of 30 participants.
