This chapter discusses the need for vertical and volumetric urban design principles and frameworks that evolve from traditional urban design principles. Based on this, the research methodologies introduced provide a framework for evaluating the vertical public realm and spaces through emotional responses, aiming to develop a spatial cognitive system. These methodologies enable the assessment of spatial quality using systematic design codes and AI tools to address the complexities of hyper-morphologies, based on users’ emotional and cognitive responses.

摘要

This chapter discusses the need for vertical and volumetric urban design principles and frameworks that evolve from traditional urban design principles. Based on this, the research methodologies introduced provide a framework for evaluating the vertical public realm and spaces through emotional responses, aiming to develop a spatial cognitive system. These methodologies enable the assessment of spatial quality using systematic design codes and AI tools to address the complexities of hyper-morphologies, based on users’ emotional and cognitive responses.
