Countries such as India, that face distinct socioeconomic conditions, need tailored remedies that cater to their particular needs. This article seeks to direct research efforts towards a solution-oriented approach by evaluating the current state of research in order to tackle the issue of e-waste. The present study offers a thorough insight into the current scenario in India concerning the management of electronic waste, encompassing factors such as the informal sector’s involvement, societal implications, and utilization of resources. Finally, this article identifies existing research gaps for future investigation.
