This study delves into the critical realm of freight train wagon operations, focusing on the detection of loading conditions through Internet of things (IoT) technology. The primary focus of this research revolves around devising strategies for Indian Railways to enhance freight transportation efficiency while mitigating losses. With an ever-growing reliance on efficient transportation systems, ensuring safety and longevity is paramount. The proposed system includes a setup wherein the wagon has load cells attached to the axles. The load sensors collect the freight values, i.e. the load of coal placed in the wagon, and check for underloading and overloading. The output is visually displayed using LED lights. Additionally, a user-friendly Android application has been built which informs the operator about the loading conditions. The setup demonstrated operational effectiveness and worked according to the designated functionality. The solution enables stakeholders to promptly receive notifications about loading conditions, empowering them to take timely and appropriate actions to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with weight regulations.

摘要
