Unlocking Supply Chain Efficiency: Integrating Decentralized Finance (DeFi) for Intermediary-Free Transactions
摘要
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) leverages blockchain technology to streamline transactions and reduce reliance on intermediaries. This paper explores integrating DeFi into the supply chains of retail stores to enhance efficiency and profitability. Due to intermediary involvement, traditional supply chains often face inefficiencies, leading to payment delays and increased costs. By leveraging DeFi, supply chain stakeholders can bypass intermediaries, gain greater control over transactions, and reduce operational costs. This study examines a real-world retail supply chain scenario to identify key areas for DeFi implementation and proposes theoretical solutions for integration. While blockchain technology has been used for information sharing and traceability in supply chains, the potential of DeFi remains largely untapped. The paper highlights how DeFi can revolutionize supply chain operations by automating transactions, minimizing delays, and protecting profits. DeFi enables businesses to optimize their supply chains by reducing costs and enhancing operational transparency. This paper serves as a valuable resource for industry practitioners seeking to harness DeFi’s benefits in their supply chain operations and contributes to academic discourse by exploring the intersection of DeFi and supply chain management, offering insights into the potential transformative impact of decentralized financial solutions.
