Truth, which promotes trust, and love, in a broad sense as concern for others, are foundations for cohesion in any social group. They are also important in bridging cultures. This final chapter of the book contains some principles for conducting ethnographic fieldwork that can also be applied to other situations of cross-cultural interaction, such as in welcoming immigrants to one’s own country.
