In many applications, including making biofuels, bleaching paper and pulp, processing foods and feeds and recovering useful products from waste, xylanases are important as industrial biocatalysts. As focus worldwide turns to eco-friendly technologies, there is increasing demand for xylanases that are strong, efficient and affordable. The chapter looks at where xylanase research is headed in the future, focusing on recent progress in finding new enzymes, designing new proteins and adopting modern tools, including synthetic biology, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence. A few important trends involve the creation of blends of multiple enzymes, discoveries from hardy microbes and their environments and improvements to xylanase stability and precision for industrial needs. It also examines the idea that xylanases could promote the use of lignocellulosic biomass to make high-value products within the circular bioeconomy. Strategies for handling stability issues in enzymes, the complexity of substrates and the challenge of producing them on a large scale are discussed. Taken together, the chapter explains the impact of literature and technology on future xylanases for sustainable industry.

摘要
