Intercultural Doctoral Supervision
摘要
This chapter provides an overview of studies on intercultural doctoral supervision—the immediate context where feedback dialogues take place. It begins by examining an array of influential theoretical grounds for understanding and researching doctoral supervision and intercultural doctoral supervision. This is followed by a discussion of the challenges and tensions emerging in intercultural doctoral supervision, highlighting how, when navigated constructively, these challenges and tensions can foster transformative learning, enriched knowledge production, and resilient supervisory bonds. This chapter then discusses dialogic intercultural supervision and ends with a summary of the main themes that emerged in intercultural doctoral supervision and a reflection on its multifaceted nature, which drives a sharpened research focus on intercultural feedback interactions as a critical site for exploring intercultural supervision and feedback dynamics.
