This study examined the transformative influence of collaborative teaching and learning methods from the perspective of a university lecturer, providing an in-depth analysis of the complex benefits and obstacles faced when implementing such methodologies in higher education. Drawing on the lecturer’s personal experiences, the study provides a comprehensive overview of the adoption of interdisciplinary team teaching, co-teaching models, and the use of technology-enhanced collaborative platforms, with the goal of creating a more engaging, interactive and efficient learning environment. Significant findings arose from reflective journals, demonstrating not just increased involvement but also the development of important soft skills such as critical thinking, communication and teamwork. The study discussed the logistical and pedagogical issues encountered, such as the need for more resources, effective time management and adaptability to contemporary teaching paradigms, and portrays them as chances for growth and progress rather than impractical obstacles. Finally, the study suggests that collaborative teaching and learning approaches considerably improve the educational experience, creating an academic environment that reflects the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of today’s workforce. Recommendations are made for educators who want to include these techniques in their practice, emphasising the significance of institutional support; ongoing professional development; and cultivating a learning culture that values and fosters collective knowledge and exploration.

摘要
