Study on the Sustainability Mechanism of Poverty Alleviation Through Relocation: Based on the Investigation and Research of Chixi Village in Fujian Province
摘要
This paper examines the history of poverty alleviation through relocation in Chixi Village which is known as the “first village in China to alleviate poverty”. Since the 1980s, Chixi Village has undergone the three phases of poverty alleviation and development: “blood transfusion–blood exchange–blood production”. Through the implementation of the relocation project and follow-up measures, Chixi Village has crossed the “spatial poverty trap” and enabled the villagers not only to relocate, but also to stabilize, settle down their families, and become well-off, which realized “sustainable livelihood”.
