Puling Village is located in the northeast of the contiguous poor area of Wuling Mountains. It is 110 km away from the county, and a remote mountain village; as it is located in the deep mountains, with poor development conditions, it is one of the county's important “battlefields” of targeted poverty alleviation. Yet, this remote mountain village in the targeted poverty alleviation is precisely fortunate. In 2015, it became the county's targeted poverty alleviation identification pilot village, and in 2018, the Dapunong Company put into operation the construction of tea processing plant. Under the dual drive of the government and the market, the high mountain organic tea of Puling Village finally achieved the two major changes, i.e., the change from products to commodities, and the change from the scale planting to the integration of production and marketing. The development of tea industry not only helps poor households to get rid of absolute poverty, but more importantly, unites the vision and confidence of all villagers to build a better hometown. It is also due to the gradual development of the tea industry, the village, the villagers’ endogenous development aspirations and capabilities continue to grow, and the effectiveness of strengthening the village and enriching the people has gradually emerged.
