This chapter, based on the “ecological niche” theory from ecology, explores the differentiated survival strategies in employment, entrepreneurship, and corporate governance. By analyzing core concepts such as niche width, niche overlap, and niche differentiation, the chapter explains how individuals and organizations can find their position in the competitive landscape by expanding their adaptation range or focusing on a specialized market. Through examples such as job seekers’ strategy of skill diversification, entrepreneurs’ strategies of misaligned competition, and businesses’ dynamic adjustments of ecological niches for long-term development, this chapter highlights that differentiated positioning and flexible adaptation are key to surviving homogenized competition. Those who fail to adapt to market changes or persist in following homogeneous paths will be eliminated, while those who find unique ecological niches are more likely to achieve lasting success in a complex environment.
