Why Do We Need a Controllable Artificial Intelligence: Brief Historical Account
摘要
Artificial Intelligence-embedded technology, albeit a seemingly bedazzling gift to humankind, is not without multifarious caveats. This has been a fodder for thought ever since the Darthmouth Proposal for Artificial Intelligence was brought forth back in 1956, which has blazed a new trail for the heated debate around which the sough-after fusion between humans and machines revolves, which still resonates today. This chapter seeks to offer a fine-grained historical account of Artificial Intelligence-embedded technologies while bearing its harmful effects front of mind.
