摘要

Recent trends of energy security, decarbonization, and digitalization enhance demand growth for sustainable mobility. Key steps required to sustainable future involve saving natural resources, achieving more with less and applying circular economy principles. Paradigm shift of sustainability and clean energy standards aims at reduction of greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate climate change and depletion of resources if electricity used come from renewable energy resources (RES). Green hydrogen exemplifies a significant potential in the swap to renewable energy and provides an opportunity for divergence of contemporary energy ecosystem protecting environment. It is emission-free, sustainable, and rich. It requires low-carbon hydrogen mission extending generation, transport, and heating/cooling sectors. These associated with abundant natural resources, energy expertise, and highly skilled workforce would create the natural green hydrogen supply chain scenarios. The green hydrogen project envisions multiple operations: generation, transmission and transformations of RE power, production of hydrogen by water electrolysis, and storage and transmission of hydrogen. It is anticipated to efficiently encourage the mutual growth of the local industry and the hydrogen energy industry, as well as aid accelerates the effective usage of clean technologies. The mission is to further explore applications scenarios of green hydrogen in the local industry. This paper reviews prospects and utilization of green hydrogen in various sectors globally. The industrial shift to green hydrogen appears to be an emergent opportunity of hydrogen operation. Further this paper deliberates threats in the implementation of green hydrogen roadmap.
