DNA-Based Algorithm for Determining Human Relationship
摘要
Obtaining important information for work in criminal and civil cases through DNA analysis is recognized as a promising direction in the use of scientific and technical achievements in world practice. The use of digital technologies in forensic examination has led to the emergence of modern forensic examination at a new level and its manifestation in a new form. However, specialized national information systems for this field have not been created to a sufficient extent. In particular, it is necessary to develop the development of systems at the national level that work with information in the field of forensic examination. This article first considers the issue of first- and second-degree kinship for forensic biological examination of human DNA. Second, an algorithm for determining kinship using human DNA is developed. The necessary mathematical formulas for calculations based on the developed algorithm are given and the results are obtained. Studies show that requests for human DNA expertise are increasing year by year. Today, an average of about 2000 forensic biological examinations of human DNA are conducted in our country per year. As a result of the analysis, 56% of them are simple, 20% medium, and 26% complex types of expertise. This confirms the need to develop an information system based on these algorithms. The results obtained will serve to determine kinship using human DNA. At the same time, it is also possible to create software products based on the algorithms considered. It is important that such small separate systems can be used as needed or used in a complex manner.
