Obsolete materials from electrical and electronic devices are called e-waste. The management of electronic trash has emerged as a widespread issue in numerous nations. Despite public awareness, its implementation has not been conducted in a systematic and environmentally sustainable manner. E-waste, when recycled, possesses significant economic worth; nevertheless, it is regrettably not processed according to the many waste types. The majority is recycled in a crude, informal manner, which diminishes its value and releases dangerous substances harmful to the environment and surrounding individuals. Technological advancements, significant market understanding of electrical and electronic devices, and a high level of obsolescence have increased electrical and electronic waste (e-waste). As post-consumer garbage, e-waste must be collected from different sources of its creation. Consequently, developing collecting centers is essential to facilitate the environmentally responsible recycling of such garbage. Various approaches are employed for the gathering of e-waste in countries worldwide. This chapter aims to explain the various methodologies employed in e-waste collection, sorting, and handling practices and to propose enhancements for the country’s practices in this domain.
