Polymer gel is classified by two crosslinking methods: chemical gel and physical gel. Radical crosslinking copolymerization gives covalently crosslinked, irreversible gel, and the formation process is described. Interactions between polymer chains give reversible physical gel which undergoes sol–gel transition. Formation mechanism and the structure of physical gel are explained. Theoretical repeated branching models and simulation methods of network structure buildup are explained in detail.

摘要

Polymer gel is classified by two crosslinking methods: chemical gel and physical gel. Radical crosslinking copolymerization gives covalently crosslinked, irreversible gel, and the formation process is described. Interactions between polymer chains give reversible physical gel which undergoes sol–gel transition. Formation mechanism and the structure of physical gel are explained. Theoretical repeated branching models and simulation methods of network structure buildup are explained in detail.
