Gel shows a variety of unique properties and behaviors which are not observed both in solid and liquid. Rubber elasticity, viscoelastic response, abrupt collapse of the volume, presence of non-freezing water are the examples. These properties and behaviors are arisen by the strong interactions between polymer network and the fluid. The process and the mechanism of interaction in the gel are introduced.
