The power electronic converter plays a vital role in today's efficient use of renewable energy sources. In addition to that a high gain boost converter is suitable in promising applications like electrical vehicle technology, communications, fuel cells and in multiple DC UPS. In this regard, a cost effective Dual High Gain DC-DC Converter (DHGDCC) is proposed with good efficiency. The proposed DHGDCC has a smaller number of switches, which is an advantage over voltage multiplier topology. To illustrate, a comparison is made of DHGDCC with voltage multiplier Circuit (VMC) in the MATLAB environment. HGDCC is realized with two and three MOSFET switches. The results depict that DHGDCC with dual input voltage of 24 V is considered to obtain up to a gain of 5 approximately as well as proposed topology ensures high efficiency up to 84% compared to other implemented topologies like voltage multiplier circuit and two switch boost converter topology.
