Inductive charging offers enhanced user convenience and safety and is gaining increasing attention as a promising alternative. Although a few charging methods have been proposed to combine both inductive and conductive charging facilities in the same vehicle, these solutions generally do not achieve significant reductions in components. This research proposes utilizing the high-frequency transformer (HFT) present in an onboard DC/DC converter as the coupling region between two charging methods in a hybrid charger system. The proposed system is evaluated through simulations and experimental testing to verify its effectiveness.

摘要

Inductive charging offers enhanced user convenience and safety and is gaining increasing attention as a promising alternative. Although a few charging methods have been proposed to combine both inductive and conductive charging facilities in the same vehicle, these solutions generally do not achieve significant reductions in components. This research proposes utilizing the high-frequency transformer (HFT) present in an onboard DC/DC converter as the coupling region between two charging methods in a hybrid charger system. The proposed system is evaluated through simulations and experimental testing to verify its effectiveness.
