This chapter discuss the design of the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) that increases the efficiency by decreasing the losses. Solar panel is added to the vehicle to charge the battery while vehicle is in standalone and while vehicle is in motion. Battery can charged with external charger while the vehicle is not in use. Using less fuel like petrol and diesel to travel adds using more electricity to travel to get higher efficiency and greater speed. The main aim of this project is to decrease the harm full gases coming out from the gasoline vehicles. Maintenance cost is also less to the electric vehicles.
