Over the years, environmental forensics has been important in investigating crimes to find vital evidence and solve difficult cases. Because of the growing problems of environmental degradation, reduced species, and pollution, forensic science now plays a vital part in environmental protection. As a result, finding new ideas to understand and restore the environment is becoming more important. Ecosystem forensics greatly improves our ability to study and protect the environment by adding forensic methods to ecological research. The chapter points out several forensic techniques for studying ecosystems, including eDNA analysis, stable isotope studies, toxicology measures, and others. They make it possible to identify species properly, track pollutants, and evaluate ecological activities, offering key information on how ecosystems change. Using these methods helps us face environmental concerns and improve how ecological research is done, enabling ecological and sustainable relationships with our natural environment.
