By seeking ecological principles and techniques, experts contribute significantly to the criminal justice system and the ecological consequences of Homo sapiens activities. The complex relationship between ecology and forensic science can be established by incorporating principles of ecology like habitat of different flora and fauna, ecosystem dynamics, life cycle of flies for postmortem interval, growth of necrobiomic microorganisms at the cadaver-soil interface, diatomic examination, wildlife evidences, palynology, botany, archaeology, organism symbiosis geology, and isotopic analysis in criminal investigation. Principles of forensic ecology have proved to be effective in linking objects, people, and places. Characterization of these dynamic changes has been made possible by recent developed principles and concepts in ecology like temporal ecology, abrupt shifts in ecological systems, ecological memory, lag hypothesis for community dynamics, asymptotic environmentally determined trajectories, etc., which made a framework for streamlining research in forensic science, which promotes quantitative approaches to collect and applying data to forensic investigations. Forensic experts have always been familiar with sampling and analysis of evidences obtained from environmental sources to provide information about past incidents. The emergence and applications of these novel laws can be specific, precise, or interchangeable, sometimes depending on who is using them and the context. These recent ecological principles and concepts have a significant impact on forensic science and will be a useful tool in forensic ecological studies for decades to come.
