During the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Period, there was a highly developed and unique regional culture in South China, the Chu culture, whose achievements were glorious and admired by the world. It is generally believed that the ChuChu culture is a synthesis of the traditional culture of the Chu people in the south, followed by the ZhouZhou culture of the Central Plains, and the culture of other indigenous peoples. It was formed at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period and lasted until the end of the Warring States Period. It can be argued that since the beginning of the Zhou Dynasty, the ChuChu culture and the contemporaneous Central Plains culture go hand in hand to light up the night sky of the Chinese civilization.
