Pulmonary Disease Detection Using Deep Learning

In the era of health technological revolution, we applied convolutional neural networks at its core to alter the model for respiratory diseases’ diagnosis by exploiting lung sounds analysis. We could have unveiled the potentially high efficiency of fast and accurate diagnosis in such diseases as asthma, pneumonia, COPD, URTI, LRTI, bronchiectasis, and bronchiolitis. It has been designed to be very accurate and precise in its diagnosis but also makes provisions for education resources that give the patient the full power to care for their respiratory health in an efficient way. Maybe the most important features are SMS alerts delivered in selected regions with poor or no internet connectivity so that important health information does reach who needs it most. This project proactively makes health monitoring easier and enhances access to available resources while highly improving public health outcomes, especially among the underserved community. It is considered a giant step toward closing healthcare disparities as it ensures equal access to quality care for people living in remote locations.
