A pandemic has changed the world’s IT industry, and companies rely on virtual machines. Virtual devices can be accessed remotely, which leads to permanent work from home—the huge requirement for servers, storage devices, application access, software and hardware, and processors. My article discusses virtualization features, types, and challenges in virtual environments. Case studies are concerned with how artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms are used to address the challenges in virtualization environments like cloud computing. AI methods are used for resource allocation, anomaly detection, data compression, scaling of resources, planning and prediction of capacity, and automated troubleshooting.
