Nanobiosensors for Food Storage and Supply Chain Management
摘要
Since damaged food lacks essential nutrients for growth and may be dangerous to human health if directly consumed, quality is a crucial concern. Because of their distinct qualities, which set them apart from traditional evaluation methods, such as their huge surface area, high selectivity, compact dimensions, excellent biocompatibility and conductivity, real-time onsite analysis, nanomaterials are fascinating. New biosensors with potential applications in the food business have been the focus of much recent progress in the field of nano biotechnology. Nanobiosensors hold great promise for use in a range of food tests, including pathogen, bio toxin, and agrochemical detection. The fundamental prerequisite for food preparation, circulation, storage, and marketing is the management of food quality and safety. Specific kinds of nanobiosensors are used for monitoring the production of food products up until packaging and to determine the product’s freshness until spoiling. Enzyme catalysts, which are extremely sensitive to harsh environmental conditions, are mostly used by them. Food inspection sensing technologies, such as optical, chromatographic, and colorimetric, are used. NPs coupled with aptamers to form luminescent labels have been widely used for the quick identification of foodborne and infectious microorganisms. When contemporary information and communication technologies are integrated with nanosensors, innovative and digital techniques for high-accuracy component detection are made possible. The transducer and bio-recognition component collaborate to convert biological signals into digital signals in the biosensor. In the food processing sector, food safety is ensured by this cutting-edge technology. By utilizing nanobiosensors for dynamic food safety monitoring, harmful foodborne pathogens and spoiling problems can be quickly identified, and immediate information on consumable quality can be obtained.
