Building Industry Infrastructure: Foundations for Sustainable, Resilient, and Integrated Urban Development
摘要
As the physical foundation of urban development, the construction sector shapes cities’ long-term sustainability, resilience, and social equity in addition to their functional and aesthetic fabric. The building sector is a crucial component of an advanced city’s infrastructure, which includes the intricate interactions between utilities, housing supply, green and blue infrastructure, and the immediate site environment. The ability of a city to accommodate the needs of its expanding population while preserving ecological balance, guaranteeing resource efficiency, and getting ready for upcoming environmental difficulties is determined by these factors taken together (see Fig. 31.1).
