Cultivating Urban Diversity: Quantifying Cultural Complexity for Advanced City Development
摘要
Cultural variety in the context of advanced city development goes beyond the surface-level indicators of demographic heterogeneity and into the domain of dynamic, quantifiable, and integrative urban assets. In cities, diversity is frequently viewed as an abstract idea that is usually reduced to token recognition or census data. But in advanced urbanism, it needs to be rethought as a fundamental component that actively influences economic dynamism, social cohesiveness, and creative potential. The thorough assessment and measurement of urban variety as a crucial element of the “Culture” dimension in advanced cities is the main topic of this chapter, which places a strong emphasis on measurable metrics that accurately reflect the richness, diversity, and depth of cultural diversity.
